Pregnancy

Maintaining a healthy pregnancy is important for the health of the mother and the baby. The following are ways in we help our patients maintain a healthy pregnancy.

Pregnancy Management

One of the first things to consider before you fall pregnant is whether you choose to deliver your baby with a private Obstetrician in a private hospital or in a public hospital.

Having a dedicated private Obstetrician who takes good care of you can make a huge difference during your pregnancy. Dr Latika Cilly’s job is to handle your pregnancy care from when you fall pregnant to week 40 to after you give birth. You will be in safe hands, as she will understand your specific needs and wants and ensure that you and your baby are healthy.

Dr. Latika Cilly will be there for you every step of the way. She will check your health and that of your baby, measure your belly, perform regular checks and ultrasounds to measure the size of your baby, and essentially, manage the whole pregnancy and all that it entails, from the first week until after delivery. As a private patient, it also means you will also have access to Latika 24 hours a day should an emergency arise.

High risk pregnancy management

A high risk pregnancy situation does not necessarily mean that your pregnancy will be more challenging than a low risk pregnancy. But it does mean that your dedicated private Obstetrician may have to monitor you more than someone with a low-risk pregnancy.

Most high risk pregnancies occur when the mother has additional complications, either due to her health (gestational diabetes, preeclampsia/high blood pressure, etc.) or due to a complication with the baby.

There is often much misunderstanding about the term "high-risk" among pregnant mothers and their families. It can result in anxiety, stress, and other complications. What you want to do is trust your Obstetrician to do their job rather than worry about what may happen.

Dr. Latika Cilly as your dedicated Obstetrician will ensure that all is well, and they will make additional appointments and provide special monitoring and care throughout the pregnancy.

Medical Abortion

Medical termination of pregnancy or medical abortion is a procedure that uses drugs to terminate a pregnancy. We facilitate medical abortion only up to the first 9 weeks of pregnancy.

If you decide on a medical termination, you have to first consult with Dr. Cilly to discuss if you are medically qualified, the associated risks, what to expect during the procedure, and after-procedure recommendations.
